Tomato Onion Salad


Serves - 2
Ingredients:
Ø  Tomato — 2 Medium
Ø  Onion — 1 Medium
Ø  Lemon juice -1/2 tsp
Ø  Salt to taste
Method:
1.    Slice tomatoes and onions vertically. Mix it nicely.
2.    Add salt and serve with lime.

What does it give you?
ü  Very easy to make simple, nutritious low calorie salad. As tomatoes are rich in lycopene, Onion contains phyto-chemical compounds such as allium and Allyl disulphide which get converted to allicin by enzymatic reaction. Onion extract have exhibited cholesterol reducing, anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic effects.
